Chinese shipbuilder, Fujian Mawei Shipbuilding, has ordered two 100 tonne active heave-compensated MacGregor subsea cranes.

The cranes are for two multi-purpose platform supply vessels (PSVs), which are currently under construction.

Tom Svennevig, MacGregor vice president, offshore load handling, said, “A key quality of PSVs is that they are able to perform a wide variety of tasks effectively in demanding offshore environments. The MacGregor cranes will ensure that flexibility.”

Delivery of the cranes is scheduled for the end of September and October 2015.
