Germany-based crane rental company NKS Niessen Kranservice has ordered three new Tadano all terrain cranes, and has already taken delivery of two, an AC 4.110-1 crane and an AC 4.070L-1 crane.

Germany-based crane rental company NKS Niessen Kranservice has ordered three new Tadano all terrain cranes Left to right: Dominik Hendriks, crane operator NKS Niessen; Florian Lendrich, crane operator NKS Niessen; Alexander Niessen, managing director NKS Niessen; Manfred Drößer, sales manager Tadano

The third crane, another AC 4.110-1 crane, will be delivered in summer 2023.

Double AC 4.110-1

NKS Niessen chose a runner with a 2nd winch for rotating prefab concrete elements, additional floodlights for optimally illuminating work areas, and the full counterweight options to include with its AC 4.110-1 models.

With the nine-piece additional counterweight of 27.4 tonnes, the AC 4.110-1 can reach its maximum counterweight of 30.4 tonnes.

Triple order

The AC 4.070L-1 comes with a 52.1 metre long main boom, with which the crane can lift up to 5.8 tonnes at its full boom length.

It comes with a AML-F crane control system and the flexible counterweight splitting system, which makes it possible to get axle loads of 10 tonnes. The crane also features the smart chart system.

This means that if it is impossible to fully extend all outriggers, the system can expand the customary circular work area as a function of the selected outrigger configuration, increasing the available lifting capacity – creating either a longer radius with the same maximum load or a greater maximum load with the same radius.

Straight to work

“These two Tadanos have already put us in a perfect position to take care of our concrete construction, assembly work, and large crane erection projects,” said NKS Niessen Kranservice’s managing director Alexander Niessen.

The company will be collecting its second AC 4.110-1 in Lauf later this year.
