Fifteen qualified erectors from All Erection & Crane Rental companies in the USA have attended a factory training class focusing on boom assembly and disassembly.

The course covered boom assembly and disassembly for Manitowoc crawler crane models 14000, which has 220 US ton (200 tonne) capacity and the 16000, which has a 440 ton (400 tonne) capacity.

The class, which was held at the All Crane headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio, was a combination of classroom work, covering both models, and hands-on experience on a Manitowoc 16000.

“Assembly and disassembly has become a critical part of our business in order to meet the new OSHA crane regulations,” explained Kirk Ward, All corporate safety director. “We plan to hold more classes in our training centre in Cleveland to accommodate more of our technicians, as this last class was booked up almost immediately.

“Highly trained employees who perform above and beyond our customers’ expectations help reinforce All’s reputation as a crane rental leader,” said Michael Liptak, All Erection & Crane Rental president. “I’m pleased that our technicians take advantage of important factory training opportunities, not only to provide our customers the best service but also to help them enhance their skills and confidence.”
