10 May 2016

The Specialized Carriers and Rigging Association (SC&RA) has announced that USA-based crane rental company Maxim Crane Works received three safety awards, making this its third year in a row for receiving multiple safety awards.

In the crane and rigging group, Maxim received the overall safety award and safety improvement award for having below industry averages of injury and incident rates. In the transportation group, the company received the transportation fleet safety award for having an outstanding driving safety record for the year. Furthermore, the Maxim team drove over nine million miles across the nation and maintained a Department of Transportation accident frequency rate below 0.45.

Accepting the award on behalf of Maxim, Alan Ashlock, president of the southeast at Crane Rental Corporation, said, “It says a lot to receive an award from a prestigious group like SC&RA for safety excellence. We are over 1500 cranes and 2000 employees strong, and it is nice to see above all safety is our highest priority.”

Frank Bardonaro, president of Maxim Crane Works, added, “Maxim Crane is committed to our focus on safety. Our fleet management strategy and dedication to investing in our team members is the primary foundation of our success. Safety is our key focus, and we are dedicated to ensuring that our employees and customers operate with safety as the number one factor each and every day.”
