The Erectors expand fleet with largest Liebherr mobile crane

Ontario-based crane rental company, The Erectors Hoisting and Rigging, has added a new LTM 1300-6.3 to its fleet. This is a mobile crane that has the longest boom in its class and can be carried at 13.2 tons (12 tonnes) axle load. In future, it will be used for erecting and dismantling tower cranes and as a taxi crane in crane rental.

In May, Liebherr handed over the key to the new crane to The Erectors from Canada in Ehingen (from left to right): Lee Spalding (Liebherr Canada, Ltd.), the three Managing Directors of The Erectors Justin Tabani, Jeffrey Burke, Marco Ottorino, and Simon Schuster (Liebherr-Werk Ehingen GmbH).

“The LTM 1300-6.3 complements our fleet perfectly: the 330-ton (300-tonne) crane is a crane of the future and makes our fleet even more innovative,” Justin Tabani, one of the founders of The Erectors.

The mobile crane includes integrated features such as ECOmode, ECOdrive, VarioBase Plus, VarioBallast, Auto-Ballast, single-engine concept and the wind speed load charts.

The mobile crane has a 90-metre telescopic boom, which it carries on six axles. With lattice extensions, it allows a maximum hook height of 295.3 feet (120 metres) and a maximum boom radius of 308.4 feet (94 metres). A versatile machine, the LTM 1300-6.3 is ideal for The Erectors, the company said.

Founded by Marco Ottorino, Jeffrey Burke and Justin Tabani , the Canadian company specializes in tower crane erection, dismantling, maintenance in addition to mobile crane rental.
