According to the crane’s manufacturer, Terex, the 1,200-tonne capacity Demag AC 1000-9 is the world’s largest easy-rigging mobile crane that can be driven on the road with its 50m main boom attached. However, Steil has specified the 100-metre main boom to enable it to take on an even wider scope of work. “The AC 1000-9 is powerful and compact, which makes it very versatile. And the optional 100-metre main boom allows us to realise challenging job sites, like high-rise wind turbine erection,” explained Birgit Steil, managing director at Steil Kranarbeiten. “Moreover, we know that we can rely on the Demag service support – they always have a solution ready for us. This was a very important point when we took our decision.”

Steve Filipov, president of Terex Cranes, added, “Steil Kranarbeiten has been a valued customer for many years, if not decades. We are proud to serve them and to witness that Demag and quality are synonyms for our customers.”
