Stage V emissions survey from AEM

07 July 2016

Equipment manufacturers’ association AEM in the USA is calling for all its members who use diesel engines in their products to complete a survey about emissions standards.

The call comes after the adoption on 05 July in Europe of the Stage V engine emission regulations for non-road mobile machinery. AEM said that “The survey seeks to identify the incremental impact to AEM members if the US would harmonise with the EU Stage V engine emissions regulations.”

A summary of the results will be used by the AEM Engine Emissions Task Force to help produce recommendations to be put to the AEM Board of Directors. Individual responses will be kept confidential and will not be shared outside of AEM staff, the organisation said.

Surveys have been sent out and they can be obtained from Benjamin Duyck, AEM market intelligence director, at [email protected] The deadline for returning the survey has been extended to 14 July.

More information is available from Michael Pankonin, AEM senior director, technical and safety services [email protected]
