Huisman China’s quayside crane, Skyhook, has been used to install a 3,000 tonne offshore mast crane onboard the vessel Lewek Constellation.

Skyhook has a capacity of 2,400 tonnes at 30 metres radius and a maximum lifting height of 100 m. When set at a 90 m outreach, the crane has a capacity of 200 tonnes and a lifting height of 140 m.

The offshore crane was installed on the vessel in two lifts and was completed over three days.

The Lewek Constellation is due to leave Huisman China in April for the Huisman headquarters in Schiedam, Netherlands, for the installation of an 800 tonne multi-lay pipe lay tower, a company spokesperson added.
