C-Tech Oilwell Technologies has put its new Shuttlelift SB 30 mobile gantry lift to use in its portable factory in Oman

USA-based crane manufacturer Shuttlelift has supplied C-Tech Oilwell Technologies with a single-beam mobile gantry lift for use transporting its coiled sucker rod oil-pumping product.

Canada-based Oilwell Technologies acquired the SB 30 for use with its portable factories that produce the sucker rod. The crane's first assignment is in Oman, where the Shuttlelift SB 30 is being used to transport coiled sucker rod and load the coils onto trucks and into storage areas. The single-beam mobile gantry crane manages loads up to 60,000 pounds (27 tonnes). It was shipped in two containers to its new Middle East location.

Shuttlelift launched the SB 30 in 2011. The SB series operates on a range of surfaces from concrete and asphalt to unimproved dirt and gravel. The single-beam mobile gantry crane features powder-coated carbon steel hydraulic tubing, zinc plated bolts and pins, and the hoses are wrapped in Cordura covers to protect them from harsh environments and to extend the life of the machine.
