International lifting and transport specialist Sarens has placed an order with Tadano in Germany for 24 new all terrain cranes and six E-Pack electrification kits.

As part of the fleet renewal programme the new cranes are destined for depots in Sarens‘ home country of Belgium, plus others in France, Netherlands, Poland, UK and Australia.

The order comprises the following: six units each of the AC 3.055-1, AC 4.080-1 and AC 5.130-1; three AC 4.100-4Ls, then one each of the AC 5.160-1, AC 5.220L-1 and AC 5.250-1. The E-Packs will go on the 55 and 80 tonne capacity models.

Deciding factors

Speaking about his choice Jan Sarens, group equipment trade manager, said, “We selected Tadano all terrain cranes because they are simply the benchmark for us in terms of performance and reliability in many areas of their respective classes.”

Sarens went on to say the E-Packs will help minimise the company’s carbon footprint, fitting well with initiatives to improve environmental and climate sustainability. “They take our efforts a great step forward and, of course, our customers will also benefit from this,” Sarens said.

Commenting on the deal Giuseppe Pompeo, Tadano Europe key account director, said, “We consider this major order from Sarens being a great sign of confidence in the quality of our products, but even more as a sign of trust in our company’s strategy and ongoing ‘OneTadano’ integration process.”
