Sany America names Tim Frank chairman

Construction equipment manufacturer Sany has appointed Tim Frank to the newly created role of chairman of Sany America, Inc. In his new post, Frank is responsible for manufacturing, sales, marketing and support for all Sany equipment products in the United States, Canada, Mexico and Central America.

Prior to his appointment, Frank was working as a consultant advising the board of Sany Group in Shanghai, China, on global strategic planning.

He also held a senior position at Volvo Construction Equipment, where he served as vice president of retail distribution and senior vice president of operations strategy and marketing. He also served at Volvo as vice president of sales and marketing, and vice president of excavators, helping to grow that company's market share and profitability. Frank also has experience working in global sales and marketing at CNH Global and Caterpillar.
Sany manufactures a wide range of construction equipment, including cranes, concrete machines, road machinery, excavators and port equipment.

Sany America has an operations, assembly and research and development centre in Peachtree City, Georgia.
