Newcom named Terex distributor for Mongolia

Newcom Mining Services LLC has been named as the authorised distributor for Terex in Mongolia.

The decision to appoint a local distributor came after Terex saw an increase in demand for its products in Mongolia, due to local investments in mining and infrastructure, according to Steve Filipov, president of developing markets for Terex Corporation.

Newcom Mining now provides equipment sales, applications expertise and service and parts support for Terex equipment, including Terex Cranes. The company will offer Terex rough terrain, all terrain, lattice boom crawler cranes, boom truck and truck cranes for sale and service.

Established in July 2011, Newcom Mining Services LLC is a construction and mining equipment sales and rental company launched by Newcom to contribute to the infrastructure and economic development of the Gobi region.

The company started full-scale operations in the first half of 2012, opening the first facility in Khankhongor Soum consisting of a retail shop, workshop and residential building. The company is also nearing completion of the largest rental facility in the Gobi Desert, it says.
