New Terex ERTGs for China port

Terex Port Equipment has signed a deal for the delivery of four Terex Noell Elevated Busbar Rubber-Tired Gantry Cranes (ERTG) to the Ningbo Port Group Co. Ltd., Phase V Yuandong port terminal in China.

Engineered for space-intensive container stacking and handling, the four Terex Noell ERTGs were ordered to address the growth of containerized handling operations within the framework of its Phase V Yuandong terminal expansion. This new order will bring the number of Terex RTGs up to a total of 139 units operated by Ningbo Port Group in China. Machine delivery is scheduled for late 2011.

This contract was awarded on the basis of the machines' excellent quality/price ratio, and the need to sustain our capacity to handle containerized goods reliably and cost-effectively as our terminal continues to grow," said Chen Yongning, engineering department manager, Ningbo Port Group Phase V Yuandong port terminal.
