Manitowoc has appointed Rentakran Group, Capital Crane LLC, as an official dealer for Potain tower cranes in Russia.

Under the deal Moscow-based Capital Crane is licensed to distribute both top slewing and self erecting Potain cranes. The company will also offer a number of services including sales for new and used Potain tower cranes. Capital Crane has facilities in Krasnodar, in the south of Russia and Ekaterinburg, in the Ural Mountain region. The company also intends to develop activity in St Petersburg, a spokesperson added.

Jean-Claude Doucene, Manitowoc sales director in Russia, said, “We are extremely happy to have a second dealer in Russia distributing Potain cranes. I am confident we will have a strong partnership with Capital Crane, and we expect to increase our presence in this vast market as a result. Capital Crane also holds an ample stock of spare parts and is staffed by skilled maintenance technicians so we can ensure our customers are well taken care of.”

Aleksander Alekseev, Capital Crane commercial director, said, “We are glad to be a part of strong and dynamic company like Manitowoc. No doubt our long-term experience with Potain cranes opens before us a new horizon for a successful future. Potain cranes are popular in Russia, especially the 8 tonne capacity top slewing cranes MDT178, MC175B and the 10 tonne MC235B, as well as the Igo 50 and Igo T 85 self erecting cranes. We believe that our co-operation with Manitowoc will be fruitful for both companies.”
