New HQ for Wolffkran
13 October 2020
The Swiss division of tower crane manufacturer Wolffkran International, Wolffkran Schweiz, is relocating its headquarters to Elsau, Switzerland. It has been based in Dällikon, in the Swiss canton of Zurich, for the last 19 years but due to the expiring lease of its current premises it has decided to build the new headquarters 40 kilometres further east.
Construction on the newly purchased property in Elsau will start soon and around 45 employees are expected to move into the new facilities in early summer 2021.
According to Wolffkran, the planning of the new location has been in progress since November 2019. The new headquarters will be around 1,500 square metres in size. It will have three floors (one underground and two above ground). The building will house offices, a workshop for maintaining the fleet of rental cranes, plus the entire infrastructure of the outdoor yard and storage area. Green spaces will be integrated in the outdoor storage area to help better organise the storage area and to help the building blend into its surroundings, as there is a forest adjacent to it.
“We look forward to a new state-of-the-art headquarters from which we will be able to offer our customers in the German-speaking part of Switzerland the best possible crane maintenance and planning services,” said Rolf Mathys, managing director of Wolffkran Schweiz. “The new outdoor yard allows for more efficient storage solutions providing even more comfort and planning security for our customers and their construction projects.”
