26 July 2010

Three Comansa Jie flat top tower cranes are working on an extension to the Fuijan liquefied natural gas power plant in the city of Putian, China.

The plant is owned by the China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC), the third biggest oil company in the country.

Manufactured at Comansa Jie's Hangzhou factory, the three cranes are involved in the construction of two new tanks, which have a capacity of more than 300 million litres of liquefied natural gas each. Once completed in August 2011, they will be 52 m high.

The cranes include two 21 CJ 290 models and a 21 CJ 210 unit, all of which have an 18 tonne maximum lifting capacity. The two 290s are working at a height under hook of 57.6 and 63.1 m, while the 210 has been erected at a height of 69.6 m.
