Laso’s six new Mercedes Actros tractors

Specialized transport contractor Laso in Portugal has continued its fleet renewal programme with the addition of new Mercedes truck tractors. João Pedro, Laso spokesperson, said, “Only this year we have surpassed the €5 million barrier in new equipment. The most recent are six Mercedes Actros units destined for the international market where the bet of expansion of the Laso brand has been more extensive.”

By 2018, Laso reported, fleet investment is expected to continue in the order of €10 million.

Laso started as a aprtnership between the owners of specialized transport companies Transportes Lamarão and Solenha – Sociedade de Transportes Rodoviários, in 2007. In 2010 the two companies merged to form Laso. It has a fleet of 1,500 pieces of equipment and 750 employees.
