André Meijer has stepped down from his position as CEO at Huisman. The Dutch crane and offshore equipment manufacturer said it would appoint internally and adjust the management structure accordingly, if required.

Joop Roodenburg will remain involved in the day-to-day management of the company and continue in his role as chief technology officer.

On behalf of the Huisman board, Roodenburg said, “I regret to see us go separate ways after working together for nearly half a year. I thank André for his contribution which will prove useful in the very difficult trading environment our industry is facing and I wish him all the best in his future career.”

Meijer added, “I regret that we came to the decision to part the company, but I am convinced that Huisman has the capabilities and quality to continue to succeed in the future, despite the difficult trading environment.”

Huisman is a global company that designs and manufactures heavy construction equipment for on- and offshore companies.

Operations are divided between the offices in The Netherlands, Australia, Brazil, China, Czech Republic, Norway, Singapore and the USA and the production facilities in the Netherlands, Brazil, Czech Republic and China.
