Mammoet awarded Cameron LNG contract
08 April 2015
Mammoet USA has been awarded a contract for the Cameron LNG project in Hackberry, Louisiana, USA.
The multi-billion dollar project consists of three natural gas liquefaction trains. Its liquefied natural gas (LNG) export capacity will be 1.7 billion cubic feet a day, a spokesperson said. Completion will be in three and a half years.
The heavy lift and transport contract includes the supply of 70 cranes, from 25 to 800 tonnes capacity, and self propelled modular transporter (SPMT).
Robert Roes, Mammoet sales director for Louisiana, said, “We are very happy to work on one of the most important LNG export projects on the Gulf Coast. By contracting Mammoet as main supplier for the lifting and transport equipment, the project will save significant time due to central co-ordination that leads to optimization of all engineered heavy lifting and transport activities.”
