LiftEquip, Inc has just completed delivery of a second 165-ton (150-tonne) self-propelled cart in under a year to an international manufacturer following success with the original order.

The manufacturer requested a custom-built lifting solution. The result was a cart 10’ (3 m) wide by 23’ (7 m) long by 37” (0.94 m) high cart that is powered by propane.

The cart offers a swing out engine to allow access with a fully loaded cart, as well as independent front and rear hydraulic steer and four 50-ton (45-tonne) jacks to allow either self unloading of items larger than the cart or to raise the fully loaded cart when leaving the load on the cart for long durations.

Heat shields protect all hydraulic components while a digital radio remote controls all functions.

An emergency travel and front steer system allows cart to be moved with a dead engine; and front and rear guards are in place to automatically stop the carts travel if it hits a person or item.
