Konecranes partners with Ikusi in radio remote control agreement

Konecranes, the lifting equipment company based in Scotland, UK has partnered with Ikusi industrial remote controls based in England in a radio remote control agreement extending to a three-model range.

Ergonomically designed, the range takes in two slim line handheld units - the 8000 500 and 8000 520 - and the ‘belly’ Ikoncontrol 3 system. The co-branded product offering is not only quick and easy to operate but robust and flexible in terms of its operating characteristics, Konecranes.

While the 500 model is a classic control unit for all types of lifting operation, the 520 offers multiple configurations on what is a compact transmitter. Both products use high sensitivity, two-step push buttons. The 550 model can be customised and has a newly designed M070 joystick.

Features common to all three products include:

• Fast customisation of a spare transmitter with removable SIM module, for easy and quick maintenance
• Quick and easy change of working frequency channel by software and-or automatic selection of working channel – LBT: Listen Before Talking
• NiMH rechargeable batteries
• CB70 battery charger with two-hour charge feature.
