Hyva adds 40 tonne-metre class to Edge Line

Top of Hyva’s new Edge Line series is the 44 tonne-metre HC 445e

Manufacturer Hyva has added five models to its 40 tonne-metre rated Edge Line series of articulating boom cranes.

Maximum outreach is from 8.02 to 20.90 metres achieved with between two and eight boom extension sections and a 10 metre jib (not available on K-boom or Marine versions).

Of the five new models, two have continuous slewing while the other three have rack and pinion type slewing. Edge Line models offer a three year general warranty and five years on structural parts, Hyva said.

The new models start at the basic 40 tonne-metre HC 401 with 430 degree rack and pinion slewing and a double linkage. Next is the 40 tonne-metre short boom HC 401 K version, also with 430 degree rack and pinion slewing and a double linkage. The 44 tonne-metre HC 441 adds the Proportional Lift Control System (P-LCS) to 430 degree rack and pinion slewing and a double linkage.

First of the continuous slewing models is the basic 40 tonne-metre HC 405e with double linkage.

The 44 tonne-metre HC 445e adds the Proportional Lift Control System (P-LCS).

Other features of Edge Line models include articulated outrigger feet, hydraulic hoses running inside the outrigger beams for protection against damage, and the Stability Control System, plus Extra Extension Speed (EES), Smooth Descent system (SDS), and the Liftrod Articulated system (LAS) to improve versatility in many different working positions, Hyva said.

The Magic Touch (MT) function allows one-touch deployment from the transport position and the same in reverse for stowing the crane. Dynamic Load Diagram (DLD) allows verification of capacity according to the stbility of the truck.

A new option is Connectivity 4.0 designed to increase customer efficiency via an internet connection to cloud data storage of historical use and service information.
