Selling crawler cranes in Donington Park

The latest UK auction organised by Ritchie Bros has been hailed as a great success.

The auction, which was held at Donington Park on 23 April 2013, attracted 565 bidders, both online and at the site. Out of these bidders 146 were buyers.

The auction featured a selection of mobile cranes, including Liebherr LR 1130, LR 1100, HS 853HD and LR 843HD crawler cranes. Also in the auction was a selection of all terrain cranes, including a Tadano Faun ATF 80-4, Grove GMK3050 and a Terex PPM AC 35. Cranes with 50 to 80 tonne capacity were in high demand, a spokesperson from Ritchie Bros said. In total, 663 lots formed the UK auction.

John Beard, Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers regional sales manager, said, “Looking at the variety of equipment and the online and on-site crowds attending our last Donington Park auction, you can say our auctions in the UK are maturing steadily. The April sale attracted a good crowd during the day and over 560 people registered to bid.”

At an upcoming auction in Ocaña (central Spain) on 6 and 7 June Ritchie Bros will offer for sale another selection of mobile cranes, including a range of all terrain cranes. The highlight of the auction will be a 2008 Demag AC 700 with 18 x 8 x 16 drive/steer configuration. It will be the biggest all terrain crane ever sold at a Ritchie Bros auction.
