Hovago adds six Grove all terrains

Dutch crane rental company Hovago has added six Grove all terrain cranes to its fleet. Deliveries commenced with two GMK5220 and two GMK5170 cranes in September. In the first quarter of 2012 two GMK6300L 300 tonners will join the rental fleet at Hovago's Rotterdam headquarters in the Netherlands.

Commenting on the deal, Doron Livnat, Hovago CEO, said, "We have experience with both the GMK5220 and the GMK5170, so we know exactly what we're getting. Plus, we've had a good look at the GMK6300L, which obviously has an excellent main boom but it also looks like a great all-round crane with excellent potential."

Hovago, established in 1946, is one of the world's largest rental companies. It rents cranes to crane rental companies around the world. Livnat said Hovago is always working to expand and improve its rental fleet. "We are extending our rental fleet and these were great additions, as we know we'll be able to rent them easily. In fact, three are already scheduled for a long-term lease, and the others will be booked into projects shortly."

The six axle GMK6300L has an 80 metre boom and maximum tip height of 112 m with full jib. Both the GMK5220 and GMK5170 have five-axle carriers. The GMK5220 has a 68 m boom and 108 m maximum tip height with full jib. The GMK5170 has a 64 m boom and a maximum tip height of 101 m with full jib.
