Higher capacity trolleys for heavy lifts

Hydraulics specialist Enerpac has improved its ETR-Series Trolley System with higher capacity trolleys and swivel plates to accommodate header beams and other lifting systems.

Enerpac’s trolley movements are synchronised wirelessly with a handheld controller

With a 50 tonne and now 100 tonne capacity per trolley, the electrically driven trolleys can carry heavy loads up to 800 tonnes horizontally in a continuous smooth movement, including acceleration and deceleration.

The system uses a low-profile, 200 millimetre wide steel plate track and can be configured for up to eight trolleys from a single powerpack. Travelling as fast as 50 metres per hour when loaded, the trolleys offer continuous forward/reserve movement via a self-contained electric drive. All the trolleys movements are synchronised wirelessly with a handheld controller.

Additional features include high side load resistance, and high capacity per mechanically locked, trolley point. The Enerpac ETR is readily expandable and easy to transport and set up.

“Compared with traditional methods of heavy lift transport, such as skidding systems, the Enerpac ETR trolley system has significant operational advantages,” said Pete Crisci, product line director at Enerpac Heavy Lifting Technology. “Loads move smoothly in a continuous movement both forwards and backwards along the low-profile track increasing the options for industrial movers and manufacturers building large complex structures.”
