Hiab expands into Dubai

Articulating loader crane manufacturer Hiab, part of Cargotec, has opened a service centre in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The centre, which has 25 service technicians and related support personnel, is owned and managed by Hiab's services and installation partner Al Mazrooei Engineering Services LLC. It will provide installation services for new equipment, maintenance and used equipment services to customers in and around the UAE, the rest of the Middle East and North East Africa.

Mahendra Ekanayake, Hiab Middle East and North Africa market area director, said, "We have co-operated with our trusted partner Al Mazrooei Engineering Services for a long time and we requested Mr Pradeep Raman, managing director of the company, to help us develop a service centre that was accessible for all our Middle East and North East African customers.

“The majority of our customers operate in the construction sector where the uninterrupted operation of equipment is critical in large building projects. Since this is a dedicated service centre, it will reduce the lead time for customer service and enable us to work even more closely with customers to provide tailored services.

"We have been supplying equipment in this region for 40 years and our business is growing. The opening of the service centre considerably strengthens our existing service offering and network in the region. It supports our strategy of being the industry benchmark for customer satisfaction.”

The new centre will be part of Hiab's global service centre network.
