Plant and equipment rental company Hewden, based in the UK, has achieved the gold standard in the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) Occupational Health and Safety Awards for the fifth year in a row.

The RoSPA Awards scheme awards companies that are committed to reducing accidents and ill health at work. It is open to companies around the world.

David Rawlins, RoSPA awards manager, said, “RoSPA firmly believes that organisations that demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement in accident and ill health prevention deserve recognition. Hewden has shown that it is committed to striving for such continuous improvement and we are delighted to honour it through the presentation of an award.”

Mark Albiston, operations excellence director at Hewden, added, “We put a lot of emphasis on creating a health and safety culture within the business, this covers both our workforce and the customers who use our products. Recognition from a respected body such as RoSPA is real testimony to this ongoing commitment.”
