H&E opens new facility in Chespeake, VA

In early April, H&E Equipment Services celebrated the grand opening of a new, full-service facility in Chesapeake, VA. On hand to take part in the event were more than 225 customers, equipment manufacturers, employees and government officials.

The event kicked off with a formal ribbon-cutting ceremony after which, attendees enjoyed a self-guided tour of the facility, exhibits, equipment demonstrations and a VIP barbeque buffet, H&E saod. Guests also experienced hands-on demonstrations of the new Doosan DX140 excavator and a new Gradall XL3100 truck-mounted excavator.

Tom Grant, H&E Chesapeake branch manager, said, "Earthmoving and crane customers, along with all general and subcontractors, now have a brand new, state-of-the-art facility they can depend on to take care of all their equipment needs. We are now better able to provide outstanding rental, sales, parts, service and training with this facility that has been specifically designed with the equipment customer in mind. The new facility gives us the space, tools and resources we need to keep a competitive edge and demonstrate our long-term commitment to this area."

Located on nearly six acres at 3601 Koppens Way in Cavalier Industrial Park, the new facility features 5,000 square feet of office space, a 2,500 square foot parts warehouse and a 10,000 square foot shop facility. The shop can handle large scale repair jobs with its two 10-ton overhead cranes.
