Owned and developed by the Sharjah-based developer Arada, the four branded buildings in the Vida Aljada complex are the first of the three Emaar Hospitality properties that will be built in the Emirate’s largest mixed-use destination.

“This project represents a key milestone for Raimondi Middle East, as we continue working with Arada on the construction of the largest and fastest growing mega-project in the Emirate of Sharjah,” said Wael Hasan, commercial director, Raimondi Middle East.

Identical configuration

Installed by the Raimondi technical team in May 2023, the four MRT111s have identical jib lengths 50 metres and tip loads of 2.3 tonnes.

All cranes  have hoisting gear of 30 kW and a drum capacity of 450 metres, lifting at a maximum speed of 100 metres per minute.

“In terms of tower heights, the flat tops are currently operating in freestanding with heights under the hook (HUH) ranging between 36 and 48 metres.

“Raimondi Middle East will support each crane anchoring and climbing procedure, based on the jobsite progression, to bring the machines to the final heights of 63 metres and 69 metres,” Hasan said.

On site for an additional 12 months “the MRT111s are considered an optimal fit for this site based on the specifications: maximum load, hoist speed, as well as tower height versatility. These were some of the key characteristics we evaluated when selecting the crane model to deploy.

“The accelerated project schedule, paired with the similar crane configuration and congested site logistics, required a careful study of each crane position to ensure greater ROI and to avoid overlap,” concluded Hasan.

The Vida Residences Aljada complex will contain a 175 room hotel, 255 branded residences and 149 serviced apartments.
