Allelys Heavy Haulage new Goldhofer Faktor 5 vessel bridge

The fifth Goldhofer Faktor 5 vessel bridge has been handed over to a UK company, Allelys Heavy Haulage.

This version of the Faktor 5 is the first to be delivered to the UK. It has a payload-to-deadweight ratio of 5:1 and will be used for transporting heavy loads, including transformers, generators and large industrial components. “This extremely efficient system offers safe and reliable transportation for loads of up 500 tonnes with a deadweight of 100 tonnes,” the manufacturer said.

The bridge is designed for use as both a conventional high girder bridge and a vessel bridge. “That greatly improves the vehicle’s flexibility and equips our customer for every possible operational requirement,” Stefan Fuchs, Goldhofer CEO added.

The Faktor 5 was handed over during the company's Innovation Days event on 26 and 27 June at Goldhofer’s headquarters in Memmingen, Germany. Goldhofer also presented a new range of heavy duty modular transporters and self propelled modules, including the PST/ES-E 6 (315) and the PST/ES-E (285) modular transporter. The PST/ES-E 6 (315) has an axle load of 45 tonnes and the PST/ES-E (285) is fitted with electronic multi-way steering and hydraulically adjustable track width.

Also on show was an updated range of Goldhofer trailers with the Goldhofer MPA axle technology with wishbone type suspension. A range of models designed for the North American market were also on show, including the THP/CA heavy-duty module and THP/DL Dual Lane system. Stefan Fuchs said, “This world first is Goldhofer’s precision response to the needs of customers in North America.”
