Chilean crane rental company takes delivery of grove ghc130 telescoping crawler crane

Chilean crane rental company Burger put its new Grove GHC130 telescopic boom crawler crane straight to work

Santiago, Chile-based crane rental company Burger has added a Grove telescopic boom crawler crane model GHC130 to its fleet.

The 132 US ton (120 metric tonne) capacity tele crawler should suit the rugged terrain in the mountainous South American country. It offers a compact footprint and has 100 percent pick-and-carry capability, manufacturer Manitowoc said.

Raul Burger, Burger CEO, said, “We have purchased this crane because we are committed to innovation. There are not many cranes like that in the world. The Grove GHC130 has a much shorter set up time when compared to conventional cranes, and unlike most all- and rough-terrain cranes, it can pick and carry all of its load chart. These features can save contractors a lot of time and money while establishing a competitive edge.”

Work for the crane has included a job at a mine near Santiago helping to set up prefabricated container homes for employees. Mining and wind energy are two primary applications for this crane. Steep or swampy terrain is easily navigable, the company said.

Other Grove cranes in the fleet Burger fleet are two all terrains: a 130 tonne capacity GMK5130 and a 120 tonne GMK5120.
