It has extended its certified DIN EN ISO 9001 and SSCP portfolio for the industry sector. Its fleet is comprised of over 600 construction and mobile cranes plus loader cranes, trucks and low-loaders.

BKL’s CEO Jörg Hegestweiler, said, “Our strength lies in moving loads and positioning them accurately. Not just transporting and installing industrial machinery and industrial plants, but also assembling them at their destination is the logical consequence in taking our services to the next level. As a step in our expansion plan, BKL’s one-stop service now gives our industry customers even greater peace of mind.”

Full service

Experienced machine and plant engineers will team up with truck drivers and mobile crane operators not just to transport and lift industrial plants and sections, but also to assemble them directly onsite.

Available throughout Germany, the service includes planning, disassembly and move-out, relocation and move-in, re-assembly and assembly, as well as maintenance and repairs round off the portfolio.

Implementation phase

Since the implementation phase, launched in May 2023, BKL has successfully carried out several projects for different customers from the beverage, pharmaceutical and chemical industries.

This included works at the Wolters brewery in Braunschweig, Germany. BKL was commissioned to install a flash pasteuriser, from the lift to assembly. After preparing a Liebherr LTM 1070-4.2 mobile crane with 10.7 tonnes of ballast, the team inserted the plant sections through an opening by means of an 8 metre platform.

Once the lift was completed, the team assembled the various plant sections – weighing between 100 kilograms and 6 tonnes – with maximum precision in the production facility.
