World Crane & Transport Summit

World Crane & Transport Summit

How to attract a new generation of qualified young people into the crane and heavy transport industry is becoming a bigger problem every day. Experienced people are retiring from the industry at a faster rate than new people are joining.

At the end of the first day of the 2013 World Crane and Transport Summit there will be a round table discussion – where is the next generation? – about how the industry can improve its recruitment and attract more youngsters.

Moderating the discussion will be Nadine Dereza, WCTS chair, and taking part will be Graham Brent, NCCCO executive director, Emma O’Dwyer, Matcom Group vice president, and Ton Klijn, ESTA secretary and Wagenborg Nedlift managing director.

The World Crane and Transport Summit 2013 is at the Hotel Krasnapolsky in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, on 29 and 30 October. The last event in 2011 attracted more than 270 delegates from around 20 countries and 80 companies.
