Austrian crane and transport service provider Felbermayr has clocked 200 operating hours in five weeks with its new 300 tonne capacity Manitowoc Grove GMK6300L all terrain crane.

The GMK6300L has an 80 metre boom and a maximum lifting height of nearly 120 m. Tasks for the AT have included erecting and dismantling tower cranes. It is the 200th unit of this model sold by Grove since its introduction. IC first announced this crane in April 2010 prior to its launch at the Bauma exhibition that month. It was then at early protoype stage.

Crane operator Martin Rumpold, said, “It is easy to see why the GMK6300L has proven to be such a popular crane. It’s quick to set up and very easy to transport, and offers a lift height of almost 120 metres. It is ideal for narrow, urban environments and for me it is the best crane for erecting and dismantling tower cranes. But it is also very versatile and offers excellent performance on a wide variety of demanding jobs.”
