UK building service provider NG Bailey has a new Terex TLC 560.2 A5 loader crane at its Bradford depot.

It joins a 390.1 and another 560.2. All three are used in the countrywide delivery and collection of a 420 unit fleet of Portakabin temporary buildings. A typical application is to double stack 32 x 10 feet (10 x 3 m) Portakabins.

The 56 tonne-metre rated 560.2 is near the top of the Terex range of knuckle boom cranes and has continuous slewing. It lifts 3,300 kg at 13.85 m outreach and, close in to the column, 14,200 kg at 3.50 m. It has the LM Plus system to boost performance. Oil flow is 80 litres a minute and working pressure is 310 bar.

"The 560.2 is ideally suited to operations in the yard because of its manoeuvrability. Its lifting capacity means that positioning and set up is simplified, and picking and placing the cabins is much more straightforward. When you are constantly trying to maximise space in a yard, flexibility is crucial," said Steve Copping, NG Bailey transport co-ordinator.

NG Bailey services include mechanical, electrical, off-site manufacture, and maintenance services to the construction industry.
