Lifting capacity will be 1,200 tonnes and pipe-laying capacity will be to 3,000 m water depth and 60 inch (1.5m) diameter concrete coated pipe. The main crane will also have deep water lowering capability. Global 1201 will be an evolution of the Global 1200, under construction at Keppel Singmarine, also designed by Ulstein Sea of Solutions. The design incorporates an AmClyde single post crane on the aft deck. The dynamically positioned vessel will enter service in April 2011.
