Transport and lifting specialist Alleleys has added a 1,200 tonne capacity Gottwald AK 912 crane to its equipment fleet in the United Kingdom.

“As a business, we’ve been through a period of significant growth over the last few years and we plan to continue with this progression over the years to come. The purchase of the AK 912 is testament to this and provides an additional heavy lift crane option within the market,” said Charlie Latham, Alleleys chief commercial officer.

The heavy lift pedestal crane has a lattice boom up to 113 metres long and will be used in the UK. It has star type hydraulic telescopic outriggers. Previously in the Mammoet fleet and, among others, with ALE before that, it was built in 1983 and refurbished in 2008. This one is moved using modular trailers under the front and rear.

“The addition of the AK 912 supports our dedication across all of the heavy industries and, alongside the [Liebherr] LG 1550 already in the fleet, solidifies our expansion into the civil infrastructure market,” Latham continued.

in addition to its fleet of specialized transport equipment, Allelys has a fleet of cranes from 15 tonne capacity Franna pick and carry models, up through 25 to 550 tonne wheeled mobile cranes, to the 1,200 tonne AK 912.
