Alexander Global Logistics, based in Germany, transported two oversize absorbers from Berlin in Germany to Alexandria in Egypt.
The absorbers were 7.12 x 7.05 x 4.21 metres and weighed 47.15 tonnes each. In addition to the absorbers, other containers and cargo were also transported from Berlin to the jobsite in Alexandria.
For the project the absorbers were loaded onto a barge using a mobile crane in Berlin and transported to Antwerp, Belgium. From there the cargo was loaded as sea-freight to Alexandria. Challenges included the width of the load, which was 7.05 m.
