Further speakers, including industry veteran Albert Galoy, have been added to the programme for the International Tower Cranes (ITC) conference in Nice, France on 2 December this year.

Albert Galoy, president of DLR’s Tower Crane Commission

Galoy, who is the newly elected president of the Tower Cranes Commission within DLR (La Federation des Materiels de Construction et de Manutention), will describe current trends in the French market and ask how the future will look for tower crane rental.

A former managing director of rental company Hexagone Services, Galoy will be a keynote speaker, alongside previously announced Christophe Simoncelli of Manitowoc.

ITC is organised by KHL Group and International Cranes and Specialized Transport magazine, alongside event partner Specialized Carriers and Rigging Association (SCRA) and supporter ESTA. Book your place here

Dave Holder, European operations director, Wolffkran

Also joining the speaker line up is Dave Holder, European operations director at Wolffkran AG, who will speak on the topic ‘Making the right choice’. His presentation will include consideration of the role of luffing tower cranes.

Tower crane automation and remote operation
Another new addition is Lior Avitan, CEO and co-founder of Israeli tech firm UltraWis, who will participate in the round-table on tower crane automation and remote operation.

His company – a 2019 spin-off from Elbit Systems - is using IoT and other technology from the defence sector to create a ‘smart cockpit’ for crane operators on the ground.
