Aertssen Machinery Services (AMS) has added two Terex crawler cranes to its fleet of heavy lifting equipment.

AMS, a specialist heavy transport company based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE), purchased the lattice boom cranes from global manufacturer and supplier Terex. The Demag cranes were acquired by AMS to support its oil, gas and construction sector operations in the Middle East.

The company procured the Demag CC 3800-1, which has a capacity of 650 tonnes at a radius of 12 metres and a tip height of 192 m.

A smaller CC 2400-1 capable of lifting a nominal 400 tonnes with a load moment of 5,150 tonne-metres, was also added to the company’s fleet. The model has a maximum tip height of 168 m.

AMS general manager, Tony Nuyts, said the cranes were easily transportable and quick to rig.
