Caterpillar at bauma Cat dealer Zeppelin will represent Caterpillar’s equipment business at bauma 2022.

Zeppelin, the Caterpillar dealer for Germany and 12 other countries in Europe and Eurasia, announced it will be responsible for displaying Cat construction equipment, services and solutions at bauma 2022 in Munich, Germany.

Previously, Zeppelin and Caterpillar had a joint stand at bauma, which is the largest earthmoving equipment trade show in the world. For the 2022 show, Zeppelin, as one of the largest Caterpillar partners in the world, said it is assuming responsibility for the construction equipment display.

“We are proud to present to our customers at bauma 2022 the latest products from Caterpillar, the world’s leading manufacturer of construction equipment, together with the excellent services provided by Zeppelin,” said Michael Heidemann, vice chairman of the Management Board at Zeppelin. “We look forward to personal contacts with our many business partners. Our commitment to bauma is a clear signal to our customers in Germany, Europe and Eurasia that you can rely on Zeppelin.”

Headquartered in Garching, near Munich, Zeppelin Baumaschinen GmbH is one of Europe’s largest sales and service organization for construction machinery and has been a sales and service partner in Germany for Caterpillar since 1954. With 1737 employees and a turnover of around €1.09 billion in 2020, Zeppelin Baumaschinen GmbH is the largest company in the Zeppelin Group. In addition to the sale of new and used Caterpillar construction machinery, the product portfolio includes service, which are provided nationwide at 35 branches.

“We know the Zeppelin team will create an outstanding experience at the 2022 edition of Bauma,” said Christophe Pelé, Caterpillar vice president with responsibility for Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Eurasia (EAME). “Beyond supporting Zeppelin for the show, Caterpillar is focused on delivering ongoing interactions with customers by expanding its marketing engagements across Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Eurasia, using multiple channels.”

While Caterpillar’s equipment side will utilize its Zeppelin relationship for the show, Cat’s engine business will continue to maintain its own presence. A company spokesperson confirmed that “Caterpillar will still retain its Cat industrial engine stand and the Perkins engine stand in Hall A4.”

Bauma 2022 will be held October 24-30, 2022.
