Crushing Services international has put two new 70 tonne capacity Tadano rough terrain cranes to work on a mine contract in Western Australia

Crushing Services International (CSI) has added two new 70 tonne capacity Tadano GR-700EX rough terrain cranes to its fleet in Western Australia.

They are the company's first Tadano cranes. "When we looked closely at the rough terrain crane market, we selected the Tadano GR-700EX as it's recognised as one of the best cranes in this category and is easy to operate for a professional crane driver," said Robert Woodhouse, CSI procurement and logistics manager.

"The Crushing Services International business model is to purchase major items of equipment rather than hire. We purchase high quality cranes to expand our fleet and support our growing business operations," Woodhouse continued.

The two new cranes were sold by the recently opened Tadano Oceania operation. They arrived in the country in CSI colours. Tadano service and parts agent in WA, CTE in Perth, did pre delivery checks and added signage, chain boxes, timber boxes, two-way system and fixing points.

Following commissioning, both the Tadano GR-700EX cranes were transported to the Christmas Creek mine site where Crushing Services International has a 10 year Build, Own and Operate contract with Fortescue Minerals Group for the crushing and processing of iron ore for export.

"When we have completed construction at Christmas Creek, the Tadano rough terrain cranes will be relocated to one of our other projects in WA or will be available through our equipment hire services," Woodhouse explained.
