No change for ConExpo despite Bauma shift

ConExpo-Con/Agg 2023 and the co-located IFPE fluid power, motion control and power transmission exposition, will go on as scheduled in March of 2023.

After Messe München recently announced that it was postponing Bauma 2022 from April to late October, it was easy to wonder about what effect it might have on other events later in 2022 or the first part of 2023. As Bauma is the world’s largest exhibition in the equipment and powertrain component industry, it wouldn’t be especially surprising to see other events modify their plans so as not conflict in any way with the massive event.

Yet while it will kick off slightly over four months after Bauma ends, there will be no changes to the first mega show planned for 2023, ConExpo-Con/Agg 2023 and its co-located IFPE international fluid power, motion control and power transmission exhibition. The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM), primary sponsor and organizer of the every-three-years exhibition in Las Vegas, Nev., has confirmed that ConExpo-Con/Agg and IFPE will go on as scheduled March 14-18, 2023.

“Our plans to host another very successful ConExpo/Con/Agg and IFPE have not changed, and we look forward to bringing the industry together again in March 2023,” said Nicole Hallada, AEM’s senior vice president Exhibitions & Marketing. “Our members have been very forthcoming with their plans and enthusiasm for continuing to participate in ConExpo-Con/Agg. They have also been highly engaged in our strategic vision for how we plan to create increased value and opportunities for manufacturers to connect with equipment end users.”

Hallada said that AEM was continuing to “stay in contact with every major trade show around the world, and as an industry we are in support of all events, especially those that promote and support the off-road equipment industry and bring people together safely.” She added that “AEM is pleased that Messe München was able to find a solution to their scheduling issue due to the pandemic.”

ConExpo-Con/Agg is an international gathering place for the construction industries, with a focus on construction, aggregates and ready mixed concrete. The event features exhibits highlighting the latest technologies and innovations in equipment, products and services plus, as well as extensive industry-targeted educational programs. On average, more than 2300 exhibitors are represented at the show with products in asphalt, aggregates, concrete, earthmoving, hauling, lifting, trucking and underground construction.
