New Gulf-based Maeda distributor

Swedish crane dealer Kranlyft Group has appointed Kanoo Cranes, part of The Kanoo Group, as an exclusive dealer for Maeda mini cranes in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Bahrain.

The Kanoo Group is one of the largest family-owned businesses operating in the Gulf Cooperation Council region. Kanoo Cranes was created to focus on providing engineered crane solutions to the oil, gas, construction and industrial markets.

The Kranlyft Group has represented mini cranes from Japanese manufacturer Maeda in Europe, Russia, Africa and the Middle East since the end of the 1990s. Although Kranlyft has broadened its machine portfolio to include additional brands, it said Maeda mini cranes remain its largest market.

With the appointment Kranlyft said it is looking to increase the penetration of Maeda products in the Gulf region. Kanoo Cranes will provide sales, parts and servicing.
