MCS expands in Germany

MCS Rental Software has opened a new office in Dusseldorf, Germany. The specialist software provider said the establishment of the new branch was part of its long-term growth strategy.

Aerial platform rental company Bigman’s has recently switched to MCS Rental Software

The German branch will provide software solutions and services to the company’s regional and local customers, and according to Guy van der Knaap, Managing Director of MCS, will act as a strategic base.

Guy van der Knaap said, “The timing is perfect, and this new office will not only bring us much closer to our existing local customers, but also allow us to continue expanding our offerings and services to new customers.”

MCS said that it had experienced strong growth across Europe over the past 12 months.

Aerial platform rental company, Bigman, recently chose MCS as its rental software provider. Bigman said its previous rental software solution was outdated and, in addition to being inaccurate in its stock level monitoring, was limited in its functionality.

Maximillian Harrasser, Managing Director of Bigman said, “Our previous solution had no mobile capability and we wanted our drivers to use mobile apps to reduce paperwork. After a few demos from MCS, we knew it would be a good fit for us. What appealed to us, besides it having a comprehensive software solution, was its multi-lingual capability and its wide-ranging experience in serving the international rental community.”

Bigman, which is moving towards paper-free operations, said that since switching to MCS it had already seen a reduction in its printing and paper costs.

Speaking of MCS’s smartphone solution, Harrasser said, “Transport Mobile app means we can send any last-minute collection requests directly to the drivers’ smartphone, adding it into their planned route with the driver capturing the digital signature for the Proof of Delivery or Collection, all without paper. We save time as the driver has no need to return to the depot to collect paperwork and that satisfies our customers at the same time.”
