Singapore based heavy lifting and haulage specialist Tiong Woon Crane & Transport took delivery of a Grove GMK6300L-1, manufactured by USA-based manufacturer Manitowoc, in the third quarter of 2019. It was the first model of its type in Singapore. In this video, Michael Ang, CEO of Tiong Woon, shares his thoughts on how the crane has performed so far.

Tiong Woon Crane & Transport has been using the crane on a range of tasks including lifting large industrial components at energy and oil and gas facilities.

The 300 tonne-rated GMK6300L-1 features a maximum tip height of 120 metres when working with its full 80 metre main boom and 37 metres of jib. When lifting with the main boom, it can lift up to 14 tonnes at full height and can handle this within a 14 to 28 metre working radius.

“The GMK6300L-1 is ideal for working in refineries as it has a telescopic boom length of 80 metres,” said Michael Ang, CEO of Tiong Woon Crane & Transport. “When fully extended, the boom has a very strong capacity of 14 tonnes with a working radius between 14 and 28 metres. Another great feature on the Grove all terrain crane is its ability to put 21 tonnes of counterweight on the chassis when travelling, which is useful.”
