Sanghvi Movers has acquired six new crawler cranes for its rental fleet in India.

All six are from Chinese crane and construction equipment manufacturer Sany. Four are the SCC8000A and two are the SCC7500A.

The SCC8000A is an 800 tonne capacity model with a maximum load moment rating of 12,016 tonne-metres and a main boom up to 111 metres. Its smaller sibling, the SCC7500A, lifts 750 tonnes.

All four units of Sanghvi’s new SCC8000A carry a special gloss black livery signwritten with the name of the late Mr Chandrakant P Sanghvi, founder of Sanghvi Movers Ltd. It was done as a tribute recognising his contribution to the Indian crane rental industry, explained his son and current managing director, Rishi Sanghvi.

“Upgrading and modernising our fleet is part of the overall investment plan for SML. SML has cranes to suit all customised, diversified needs and it has all the specialised rigging systems to complement the inventory. SML serves our customers with innovation, safety and growth in our areas of responsibility and will continue to evolve,” Rishi said. “With the new assets onboard in the fleet of 400-plus cranes, SML is now well equipped to supply the significantly increasing industry demands and solutions for our customers.”

At the time of writing the new 800 tonners had already been deployed on job sites while the SCC7500As were expected to arrive very soon, Sanghvi said.
