RT and AT Liebherrs for Switzerland

Valais, Switzerland-based Clausen Kran has expanded its crane fleet with a Liebherr LTM 1150-5.3 wheeled mobile telescopic and an LRT 1090-2.1 rough terrain.

The company operates in mountainous environments. Its fleet consists of seven Liebherr mobile and crawler cranes with lifting capacities of up to 250 tonnes as well as three heavy-duty tractors.
New additions
Clausen will use the fixe-axle LTM 1150-5.3 for assembly and disassembly of construction tower cranes and in chemical plants where large lifting heights are required.
The 150 tonner has a 66 metre boom. Its all-up weight is 60 tonnes and on an axle load of 12 tonnes it can carry nine tonnes of ballast. This means it can do many jobs without the need for extra ballast transport, Liebherr said, saving time and money.
The 90 tonne capacity LRT 1090-2.1 rough terrain, sold for the first time in Switzerland, has the VarioBase outrigger system and offers a maximum lifting height of 66 metres.
