Heavy lift and transport specialists Fagioli and Vietranstimex have signed a memorandum of understanding to work together.

The two companies have agreed to a strategic partnership saying they will co-operate to tender for, negotiate and jointly execute projects involving heavy and critical lifts and transportation in Vietnam.

In a ceremony on 25 October, representatives of Vietnam-based Vietranstimex (a Sotrans company) and Fagioli Asia, signed the agreement at Sotrans Group’s office. Participants included: Dang Vu Thanh, Vietranstimex chairman; Bui Quang Lien, Vietranstimex general director; Le Trieu Phong, deputy director of Vietrantimex-Central Vietnam; and Cristiano Cavallini, Fagioli president and managing director Asia-Pacific.

“Becoming a strategic partner with Fagioli contributes to enhancing Vietranstimex’s stature in the market, aiming to promote the development of services where Vietranstimex is a strength in heavy transport, wind power installation and cargo projects in the Asia Pacific market,” Vietranstimex said.

Fagioli is headquartered in Italy and has companies in Africa, Asia, Europe, India, the Middle East and the USA. It was started in 1955 as a transport company and moved into specializing in oversize and overweight loads and then the cranes and heavy equipment to lift and install them.
