New 16 tonne luffer from Moritsch
24 February 2021
Italian tower crane manufacturer Moritsch has erected the first unit of its new RTL 195 luffing jib tower crane.
The RTL 195-16 lifts 16 tonnes on four falls of rope and has a maximum 55 metre jib. It is claimed as being the first in its class with an 8 metre out of service radius. This is achieved with the jib at an 82 degree angle.
Tower options include the TM 21.6, TM 21.12 and the HP 20. Winches are a 45 kW unit for luffing and a 67 kW hoisting winch. The crane’s power requirement is 180 kVA.
The new operator cabin is wider, longer and designed to offer better visibility. They include Grammer seats, Gessmann joysticks and ABB controls. Screen options are 10 or 7 inches (254 or 178 mm).
